Who we are

Meet the faces behind Tightrope

Nick Funk Founder & CEO

Nick has made it his mission to foster safer online spaces.

He joined the Coral Project shortly before its acquisition by Vox Media in 2019. From there he became a core developer in ensuring that Coral's platforms scaled to meet both the strenuous demands of Vox's user base as well as many other customers around the globe.

After almost a decade of improving social and moderation tooling for Coral, Nick became the key software architect for SB Nation's social platform (The Feed) and its native apps. Creating a completely new community and moderation toolset that would evolve into the future of public interaction at Vox Media.

His most recent endeavour has been the creation of Tightrope Software to bring the knowledge he has gained back to Canada through new moderation platforms that will protect current and future online spaces.
